Compare

Compare payment processors before you switch

Side-by-side pages on how other providers price a sale and how interchange-plus prices the same one. Every outside price links to the company's own page with the day we checked it.

What other processors charge

One page per provider: its published rates, one worked month with the assumptions spelled out, and the terms its own pages state.

How to compare quotes fairly

Compare the total cost of one real month, not the headline rate. A flat rate is easy to read but bundles interchange and markup into one number. An interchange-plus statement lists them apart, so you can see what the markup actually is.

The flat rate vs interchange-plus calculator prices one month both ways, and the effective rate calculator turns your statement into a single percentage you can hold quotes against. Our pricing page explains how Clearo builds a quote.

Questions about comparing processors

Do these pages show what Clearo would charge me?

No. Clearo quotes each account for its own volume and card mix, so these pages never state a Clearo rate. To see your own numbers, send us a recent statement and we'll price the same month on interchange-plus.

Where do the other companies' prices come from?

Only from each company's own pricing page. Every price links to that page and shows the day we checked it, and we re-check at least every 90 days. If a price has changed since then, the company's page is the one to trust.

Is it hard to switch payment processors?

Usually the work is setting up the new account, replacing terminals where needed, and updating any online checkout or invoicing. The part to check first is your current contract: look for an early termination fee or an automatic renewal. Clearo has no long-term contracts and no cancellation fees, and a free statement review is a low-effort first step: it shows what your current month would cost before you change anything.
